A Weed

In our daily lives, we tend to face many challenging situations. Deaths, illnesses, exams and so much more are around us all the time. Here, some succeed in overcoming these challenges, while others do not. As for me, I try to be confident and do the best as I can do by believing in myself - the aspect of self-reliance. One day, while I was walking in the woods, I faced with a cold gale swishing in the air and ran into a weed that was trying to hold on to the ground. Unlike the dead brown leaves around it, the weed maintained its green color as if it was still in spring, resembling the idea of non-conformity. I soon felt closely connected with this weed, for we were both optimistic all the time, and never gave up no matter how hard the situations could turn out to be by holding on to ourselves. Thus, through this individual journey to the woods, I discovered something new. Having a unique, strong-willed and positive personality in every circumstances, I was like a weed that tried to hold on from the heavy wind.
